People in general make a root canal sound awful. I didn't think it was that bad. No, it isn't a pleasant thing to go through, but it's not awful either. It is not much worse than the usual dental stuff that one goes through in life. It is the first time that I have had my mouth propped and held open with a plastic device during a procedure. It keeps the jaw from getting so tired and sore from having to hold it open for so long.
